downhole oil-water separation is a new technique, providing a good method to reduce lifting energy , ease sewage treatment tax and improve the benefit ,is worth while to investigate and develop. It has two methods gravitational separation and cyclone separation.This paper firstly describes the advancing edge and application potential of downhole oil-water separation technique,then based on the hydro-cyclone separation technology,separation mechanism and the law of oil droplets motion were studied. Based on research the regularities of velocity field three component velocity distribution,also analysis the diameter of oil droplets. During the downhole oil-water separation, the oil droplets is the dispersed phase and water is the continuous phase, The stressed state analysis of the oil droplets in separator shows that the radical force produced by the radical pressure field is very important and the droplets radial motion is caused by the combination effect of the radial stress, centrifugal force and Stokes force. In order to optimize the configuration and operation parameters of the cyclone separator. We proceed triaxial flow field numerical simulation and oil droplets movie locus trace, consider a few oil droplets movie in whirling current separator. Analysis of the effect of cyclone separator configuration and operation parameters on flow field and particle motion is done.Then optimize entrance dimension, overflow vent dimension and apex dimension three composition and an important operation parameter of entrance rate of flow. Integrating theory analysis, experiment and numerical simulation result, according to harmony of oil-water separation system pressure and flux, the ESP/ downhole oil-water cyclone separation production system design theory and method have been studied applying the node analysis method. Use a innovate method based on injection formation, The system design was performed based on the data of YAA3X144 well in Shengli field. This paper also research the ESP/downhole oil-water cyclone separation production system monitor and dominate technology. Sum up two monitor methods intelligent downhole oil and water separation system and system operational mode diagnose. Calculation based on system operational mode diagnose method.
