| With the development of modern industry, machines and spare parts are always in extremely complex and demanding working conditions, a lot of machines and equipments are scrapped as corrosion or abrasion. Cladding technology and thermal spray technology are important ways to improve surface properties of parts. Common cladding methods include arc welding, plasma welding, and laser welding. Laser welding can get high-performance layer. However, single surfacing technology can not always work well; multiple-surfacing technology is adopted in the matrix with different welding processes and welding materials to repair parts.By studying the relation between microstructure and properties of metallic materials, properties depend on structure; analyze surfacing layer with general matrix; study various heat treatment process characteristics and selection, organizational change in the welding process; study laser welding of different substrate material; study the manual arc welding, plasma arc surfacing layer structures.Introduce the contents of multiple cladding experiment, multiple surfacing equipment, choice of the matrix , cladding materials and cladding technology; make experiment of cladding on the plasma arc surfacing layer with laser-cladding method ,cladding on manual arc cladding with laser cladding, laser cladding with 3 different Ni-base alloy on 45#steel; analyze microstructure of the samples in combination with different matrix microstructure analysis. Measure hardness of the sample; analyze the relationship between the strength, toughness and microstructure. Analyze reasons of cracks.To multiple surfacing technologies, crack is always an issue. Analyze the cracks of traditional surfacing technology to find causes of the cracks and to propose measures to avoid the cracks.Multiple surfacing technologies can play an even greater advantage than the various welding techniques. Multiple surfacing repairing techniques will bring great economic and social benefits.
