It is significant to develop high-performance extraction methods of active component from natural product, which make sense to the modernization of chinese traditional medicine and improvtion of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. The extraction of essential oil from natural product is a major part of extraction from natural product. One of the important modern extraction techniques is microwave extraction.Microwave assist-anted extraction methods have been wildly used in different areas such as environment, food and agriculture because its less solvent demand, shorter extraction time and higher extraction yield than traditional method since its beginning by Galnze in 1986.There have been many kinds of style of microwave assist-anted extraction technique of extraction essential oil from plant, from the basic microwave assist-anted extraction to microwave assist-anted steam distillation, solvent-free microwave extraction, vacuum microwave extraction and so on to satisfied all kinds of extraction demand.This paper has made the best of calculational superiority of our laboratory, extraction of essential oil from fresh orange peel by all kinds of microwave extraction methodes and oil was component analyzed by GC-MS. The superiority of microwave extraction was explained compare to the traditional steam distillation and characteristic of all kinds of microwave extraction were stated. Another work is to explore new microwave extraction device base on the current microwave extraction technique. The main contents are as follows:â‘ To extract essential oil from fresh orange peel by all kinds of microwave extraction device. The essential oil from fresh orange peel was extracted by microwave hydrodistillation, solvent-free microwave extraction, microwave hydrodiffusion and gravity and so on. The essential oil from the orange peel was analyzed by GC/MS technique. It can be concluded that the essential oil extracted by microwave methode for decades of mins were quantitativeely(0.50%) and qualitatively(aromatic compounds) similar to those obtained by conventional HD. Microwave highly accelerated the extraction process, was better than HD in terms of energy saving, cleanliness and reduced waste water, which is a green and high-performance extraction way.â‘¡To construct extraction model and prove microwave extraction mechanism. The extraction model was constructed with distilled water, limonene and activated carbon and extraction process was carried by traditional hydrodistillation and microwave hydrodistillation respectively. It can be concluded that the two different extraction way almost share the same extract effect because of the same nature of hydrodistillation. Surfactant didn't accelerate the extraction process according to the experiment. The high performance of microwave extraction comes from the truth that microwave can easily turns the non free state essential oil in the cell into free state essential oil.â‘¢To improve the microwave extraction device based on the existed ones and explore new microwave extraction methodes. The first is to combine the gas flow and MHG together, it can be concluded that the extraction process was accelerated at the same time with the decrease of extraction yield. The optimized extraction process was as follows: gas flow 100 mL/min at the power step of 60% for 3 mins. The second is to apply the check valve into microwave extraction by combining vacuum pump. Check valve can make sure the non-oxygen environment and security of the experimental, this methode accelerates the extraction process and reduce extraction time. To extract essential oil from dry rhizome and dry peppermint leaf and compare the composition of the essential oil with the ordinary pressurethe extract. It is a potential methode for extraction that it indeed protect the deoxidize composition of essential oil from being oxidation.
