As an important water resources, groundwater, if polluted, would be difficult to update and recovery, which might cause great harm. Among the contaminant, pollution of nitrogen in groundwater will make consumer poisoning and cause cancer. In recent years, although the problem of nitrogen pollution was concerned greatly, it didn't carry out a special studies to research nitrogen pollution in groundwater in the Jinghui irrigation districts. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and research nitrogen pollution in this area.According to the fact of three nitrogen pollution of Jinghui irrigation districts, combining with hydrogeological condition of irrigation, the paper researches the distribution, factors and source of nitrogen in Jinghuiqu through analysis of water quality data on groundwater and soil profile in recent years. Spatial distribution of three nitrogen content is characterized by strong anisotropy and declining pollution. High nitrate concentrations areas are mainly in the Northeast of Sanyuan, Northwest of Yanliang, near west river of Jingyang and around of north Gaoling. In the new village in Jingyang where Jiezi village between Jingyang and Sanyuan is at the junction and nearby Du village in Sanyuan county, there are much of nitrite. In addition, near the village of Tianyan, there are lots of ammonia nitrogen. Based on the study of three nitrogen content and chemical characteristics of groundwater, the author found that the transfer and transformation of three nitrogen were influence by aquifer lithology, groundwater depth and chemical characteristics of groundwater. Manganese and magnesium ions on the conversion of three nitrogen was significantly correlated. Jinghui irrigation district is the main grain producing area, where a considerable portion of nitrogen pollution in groundwater are from agriculture pollution. Nitrate in soil profile increased with depth reduction and ammonium ion remained, which indicated that nitrate is easier dissolved in water than ammonia nitrogen and fertilization will speed up the leaching of nitrate, therefore pollution of groundwater nitrogen will be intensified. The data of soil profile of past two years show that soil nitrate pollution has increased. The most serious nitrogen pollution is nitrate pollution in Jinghui irrigation district. The largest area of pollution is from nitrite pollution and the ammonia, pollution caused the smallest area. In recent years, the content of three nitrogen in Jinghuiqu is reducing and the pollution is gradually decreasing. The author suggests that the method of prevention is the best way in this area.
