Currently,the micro heat pipe(MHP) has become the ideal electronic thermal conductivity component, because of its high thermal conductivity,good isothermal,fast thermal response, simple and small structure .But the thermal properties of MHP are main depend on the inner wall wick,and the groove wick MHP is meet to the short and thin requirements for electronic devices .However,how to made the groove wick structure on the pipe's inner wall ,is the most pressing issue.And because of the restriction ,such as cutting tool, the MHP,especially as the tube OD isФ4mm below, can not be manufactured directly by groove tube spinning process.Based on the groove tube spinning process,tube drawing forming process and MHP packaging technology, a new method,which is called as spinning/drawing composite forming process,is proposed for MHP manufacturing in this pape. The specific ideas are as follows.Firstly,manufacture theФ6mm groove tube by groove tube spinning process.Then use the drawing process to madeФ4mm andФ3mm micro groove pipe.Finally, packaged the tube pipe as micro groove heat pipe(MGHP). The contents in this paper are as follows:First, analysis the principle of groove tube drawing forming. Include: design the drawing groove tube and manufacture theФ6mm groove tube by groove tube spinning technology; grooved tube forming principle drawing description; pipe thickness deformation mechanism analysis and build the pipe groove forming mechanical model.Second, experiment on micro groove pipe drawing forming. Include:drawing forming process description; manufacture theФ4mm andФ3mm groove tube by drawing forming process; study the affect of process parameters on the drawing forming.Third, simulate the micro groove pipe drawing forming process. Include: establish the finite element model of micro grooves forming by tube drawing; analysis the drawing deformation; study the affect of process parameters on the drawing forming .Fourth, experiment on heat transfer performance of MGHP. Include: manufacture theФ4mm andФ3mm MGHP; build the heat transfer model of MGHP;study the affect of process parameters on the performance.
