Biodiesel is a kind of environment-friendly energy which was got from the reaction of natural oil and low-carbon alcohols. Biodiesel has similar performances with mineral diesel, but its catenae number, oxygen content and flash point are higher, its lubricity is better and biodiesel can be well biodegraded, so biodiesel is a kind of renewable energy sources which are actively researched all over the world.Jatropha curcas L.is a kind of oleaginous tree which has high oil content and can grow in dry and barren soil.Jatropha curcas L. seed oil was used as the raw material in this work. Some work was been done:the determination of the main physicochemical standards and fatty acid composition, the pretreatment of Jatropha curcas L.seed-oil; the preparation of basic catalyst; the preparation of biodiesel by transesterification;the determination of the quality of biodiesel. In the study of the pretreatment of raw oil, influences on hydration degumming and deacidification with alkaline sorbent were researched, The optimal conditions of hydration degumming process were the hydration temperature 30℃,2.5 times water of the phospholipid contented in the oil, and hydration degumming 30min. In this condition, the phospholipids can be reduced from 10.51% to 1.67%. The optimal conditions of deacidification were as follows:Adsorption temperature 35℃, Adsorbent dosage 2.2%, Adsorption time 35min. The acid val (AV) can be reduced from 5.825 mgKOH/g to 0.116 mgKOH/g, under these conditions, deacidification rate was 98%.In this work, impregnating method was chosen to support KNO3 onto ZrO2 After the catalyst was roasted with high temperature, KNO3/ZrO2 solid base catalyst was prepared, which was used as catalysts in the transesterifition of Jatropha curcas L seed oil and methanol.Research has been carried out on the technology of biodiesel preparation.Optimal conditions for biodiesel preparation were as follows:reaction temperature 65℃,reaction time 2.5h, catalyst concentration 3.5%,and methanol/oil molar ration 10:1.Under the optimized conditions, the transesterification conversion of Jatropha curcas L.seed oil reached 95.2%,and the quality of the biodiesei is up to 0# diesel fuels criterion.
