The proportion of the large inclined angle in medium-thickness seam are occupied our country mine resources, including focusing on studies of special research on reserve-width and achievement. The large dip-medium thick coal seam mining gateway can divide into six types, according to Mohr-Coulomb Rule and Kastner Equation derived to the coal reserve-width theory calculation formula.Set the 36# mine section coal seam reserve-width an example, based on analysis of the coal hosting geological conditions, it confirmed theⅢtype. And it processes the rock machine parameter determination in laboratory, numerical simulation and some specific parameter calculation. On the condition of safety, the verification in industrial field test of -300 working face, the coal pillar reserve–width decrease from 25 meter to 8 meter, which proves the theory and creates a direct economic benefit up to 5million yuan as well.The research results not only promote the study of coal seam reserve-width of certain reference value, but also guide the field production of vital practical value.
