Based on the knowledge of swirling jet and jet pump, according to the fluid mechanics and material mechanics theory, high pressure swirling jet and negative pressure sand washing tool is designed and used for sand wash operation in oil field, which can resolve the sand cemented serious and low reservoir pressure, and the sand that is easy to return to the formation. By means of the laboratory study, the manipulated feasibility of the tool is proved, and the design parameters are optimized according to the results. Through literature research, operating parameters of the tool are calculated with the Matlab software, critical dimensions are designed with the principle of the optimum efficiency, and the tool is formed through CAD and Pro/E software, and made in accordance with the design, and tested in the High-pressure Water Jet Research Center of the China University of Petroleum. From these experiments, we know: the swirling jet is better than the normal jet in sand washing; the bigger the pressure is, the better the result of sand washing is in these experiments; the flow ratio have an optimization range, in this paper the optimal range is between 0.9~1.2; the area ratio is changing with the flow ratio, which also has an optimization range, in this experiment the optimal range is between 0.15~0.25; the best nozzle-to-throat clearance is affected of the structural parameters of swirling jet in different cases, there is an optimal value, in this experiment the optimal value equals to the nozzle diameter. Through this design and experiments, a feasible method for sand washing is achieved in oil field, as well as to expand the application scope of the swirling jet and jet pump, this thesis have a certain reference value for their technological development.
