China's coal output and consumption rank the first in the world, but coal spontaneous combustion is more serious , especially in Xinjiang coal mine. Serious waste of resources and environmental pollution are caused by coal mine fire , In"China's 21st Century Agenda " , coal spontaneous combustion has been listed as the disaster by our government . So, research on coal seam fire detection and control technology is very important.Based on the research of coal spontaneous combustion 's causes and mechanism, combined with the actual situation of coal seam outcrop fire in Changping ,coal seam outcrop fire control technology was studied. First, according to the mechanism of coal spontaneous combustion, the reasons and factors of coal seam outcrop fire were analized , combined with the causes of coal fires in Xinjiang, the characteristics of Changping's coal mine were atudied, and then Fire Prevention Technology with composite gel were mentioned. Second, according to the comparative analysis of fire detection technology, radon method is applied in Changping coal mine, the fire center and its development trend were determined. Third, according to exploration results, underground anomalies and surface condition , boreholes' amount and depthwere determined. using grouting drilling rig for the construction and the establishment of grouting system. Comprehensive control technology of coal seam outcrop fire was applied in Changping mine. Fourth, form the aspects of the borehole temperature, the surface burning temperature ,hazardous gases and so on, to analyze the effect of comprehensive control , to determine the coal fire was extinguished, and the technical efficiency, economic efficiency and social efficiency were analized, gel fire extinguishing technology has great meaning in the comprehensive control of coal spontaneous combustion outcrop fire.
