In this paper, started from the structure and the performance of the Beipiao clinoptilolite, through testing to determine the best size of the modification is 60 mesh, the best conditions for roasting activated as follows: calcination temperature 400℃, calcination time 210min. In zeolite modification, from the three kinds of pre-modification program we chose the plan: preferred acid-inorganic salt (NaCl), and identified the best conditions for acid pretreatment, the Concentration of HCl is 1.0mol/L, the best modification time is 15h.In order to further refine the process conditions, designed and carried out the orthogonal of NaCl modification, resulting the best condition of modification: concentration of NaCl is 0.5mol/L, modified time is 18h, solid-liquid rate is 1:5, pH value is 7, the ammonia nitrogen quantity can achieve 0.89mg·g-1. Then studied the application of modified zeolite environmental conditions on adsorption properties, also analyzed the ammonia-nitrogen adsorption mechanism.Using this modified zeolite, with three different granulation methods to prepare the cat litter products, determined the best formula of cat litter: modified zeolite 5%-sodium bentonite 95%-water glass (20ml/100g). And testing the performance on different cat litter products, compared with the same type of product that marketed from domestic and import, the cat litter accordance with this thesis preparation craft is better than domestic bentonite cat litter products, can meet market requirements of cat litter, but also has advantages over import cat litter in deodorize ability, has better application prospect and market value.
