Polyhexamethylene Guanidine is a novel bactericide and disinfectant with high-efficiency performance.As a highly cationic polymer, there is a great application range in such as industy, agriculture, medicinal and daily life.Base on the previous research fruit by experts home and aboard, this study concerned on the condensation polymerization of Polyhexamethylene Guanidine Hydrochloride and the application on papermaking industry,leather industy, antibacterial material and so on. Polyhexamethylene Guanidine hydrochloride was achieved by condensationpolymeirization of Guanidine Hydrochloride and 1,6-Diaminohexane,which the condition of reaction temperature,reaction time and the molar ratio of Guanidine Hydrochloride to 1,6-Diaminohexane determine the character of the final product. The better instance condition of temperature,reation time and molar ratio of reaction materialfor is 120~160℃,2~6hour,and 1:1.0~1.05.Polyhexamethylene Guanidine hydrochloride present high antibacterial efficience on the almost bacterium on papermaking procedure, such as Pseudomonas, Aerobacter, Bacillus, proteus and so on. In the dosage of 30ppm PHMG in paper whiter water, the radio of sterilization keep 90% above with 8 hour. Also the PHMG present high efficience of eliminating the stickies and pitches and restrain sedimentation of calcium carbonate. In the simulant experimentation, the dosage of 5% PHMG to stickies eliminated more than 50% stickies quantity out to the water system.And in the paper produce online application test using PHMG as bactericide and aggradation control agent, make the papermaking machine more clean and run more smooth.The PHMG also can use in leather industry as a good bactericide but not a good fungicide. It was good efficience to almost bacterium but awful to fungi. The simulant experimentation show that PHMG does not use as fungicide in leather industry.More simulant experimentation on antibacterial material such as antibacterial plastic, cotton textile and wet towel,show outstanding performace to antimicrobial to Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginasa, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Migula, Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus Rosenbach and so on, but unabiding on antibacterial cotton textile, especially after water bath. The PHMG had been Hydrophobe modified by Silicone show more persistent effecience than unmodified.
