With widely application of the network technology and computer technology, remote monitoring of equipment based on B/S (Browser/Server) has become a new hotspot. Constructing remote monitoring system based on Web will be one of the key development directions of the industrial field.Using one open coal mining equipment remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system as its background, this paper describes and analysis the structure and the framework of this system. This system is designed by using C# language, and using component object mode (ASP.NET) technology on system development. So, this system is a Web database that is developed on B/S mode, and use SQL Server 2008 as its database management system. On the basis of the above work, this paper constructs a fault data management system based on B/S mode. This system realizes fault alarm, remote real-time monitoring of equipment, scheduling, breakdown maintenance, statistical analysis and so on. Besides, the fault diagnosis of machine is discussed elementarily in this paper. This system can realize a fault diagnosis by using diagnosis technology, and the part result is presented. Moreover, this paper also makes in-depth research on data paging query efficiency of optimization design.Some studies in this paper have been put into practice in one open coal mine.
