This paper studied on the establishment of 3-D simulation armhole model for basic suit-dress sleeve and its application based on it, including acquisition of 3-D datas and their processing, picking up key points on the 3D body, simulating of the armhole Arc, as well as the establishment of three-dimensional virtual model and law analysis;finally, explored its extended application.First, it began with the acquisition of three-dimensional scanning data, retrieved of useful information, only to retain the number data points, and then the removal of noisy and redundant point procedure was carried out; on this basis, through software research and a comprehensive comparison, chose the appropriate computer language environment with Visual Basic and three-dimensional graphics Matlab toolbox to develop the system and follow up study.Next, the paper focused on the reconstruction ways and means of three-dimensional model:through the tetrahedral Delaunay triangulation method to achieve drawing the surface with discrete data points; and then pick up the characteristics points of the human body, thus generating corresponding points data; combined with Gap of armhole data, a sleeve of the arc hole coordinates for the key data points were derived to be the simulation data of armhole curve.Combined with the characteristics of the armhole curve, in the choice of simulation methods, using the least squares fitting, and then calculated each arc with integral method; what's more, allowing for the collected simulation data, with the correlation and regression analysis, established mathematics relationship model between armhole floating and arc length; In addition, the collection of trial and simulation datas were tested, it proved that the model to be reliable and scientism.Finally, the application of armhole shape model was explored, combined with the virtual three-dimensional model, programming generated pattern data required for sleeve pattern-making, established database of sleeve pattern and with the interface of Garment CAD software automatically pattern-making functions, had a trying of feeding out pattern automatically, provided an effective and available way for the further study.
