Dust problem is one of four major disasters in coal mine. In order to effectively control the hazard of dust, varieties of dust suppression techniques have been applied. Spray is one of the most common dust suppression way in coal mine, and had a good effect.The top of excavation tunnel is blind in coal mine. Tunnel ventilation can not form circular wind flow when roadheader working at heading face.The produced dust can not spread quickly in a short time. So, heading face has become one of the most serious dust pollution position in coal mine.Producing dust point is constantly changing in roadheader working process. Roadheader's cutting head keeps fluctuation and swinging to cut coal and digs toward depth direction. In the tunnel, a series of dustproof and dustfall measures are fixed in a position. The devices can not real-timely and effectively dust along with the advance of roadheader's working track. Therefore, it is very necessary to set a onboard spray dustfall device to matching with the Roadheader. It is meaningful to effectively improve the work environment at the heading face. The paper studied and designed a set of roadheader rotating spray dustfall device according to heading face peculiar working condition. The device is deft and convenient for installation with the roadheader and adapts to narrow work space at the heading face. The device is Developed the conventional static spray into the dynamic rotating spray. In the paper, first, the interface technology was studied about the rotating spray dustfall device matching with the roadheader to ensure good matching coordination between them; Secondly, the paper analyzed the atomization catching dust process of the rotating spray dustfall device, and studied its water-consumption and the seal property; Finally, the paper designed the pipeline of water-dividing shaft and the cone surface tilt angle of cistern cover and analyzed the influence of water-dividing shaft to seal and properties of water-dividing shaft under coal impact load, to ensure rotating spray dustfall device having good performance and meeting spray dustfall function requirements of spray dustfall device at heading face falling.In order to fully obtain spray dustfall effect of the rotating spray dustfall device under the different influence factors of supply pressure, nozzle quantity and nozzle diameter. In the paper, the fluid was modeled and simulated by FLrjftgUENT software for the flow field simulation research. The simulation data was compared calculation by MATLAB based on calculation formula of spray dustfall efficiency, which provide theoretical guidance for the most effectively providing dustfall efficiency of the device. Finally, this paper was studied by experiment. Through the laboratory test, the spray coverage, effective range, airproofing performance of the rotating spray dustfall device and its operation condition can meet device's working performance requirements; The dustfall effect of the rotating spray dustfall device was tested through the actual industrial test and the results showed that the device had a good dustfall effect, and effectively improved the heading face environmental conditions, witch provided an advantage supporting for the paper research and extending application of the device.
