VOCs Emission Rules And Reduction Plan For Insulated Tape Manufacturing

Volatile organic compound (VOCs) is a kind of gaseous pollutant, impacting metropolitan atmosphere directly or indirectly. It's critical to identify and monitor for VOCs discharge resource. In insulated tape industrial, there are numerous solvents consumed in the semi-product (adhesive) process. Those solvent consumed in insulated tape manufacturing results in industrial organic waste gases, posing local environmental pollution, and contributes to regional pollution, which is the major environment issues to be treated in insulated tape industry.Based on the insulated tape production line, this paper studied the pollutant sources for the manufacturing process, and analyzed the ventilation system for milling, mixing, coating process, as well as the characters and rules for VOCs emission are verified. According to the study result, it shows around 53% organic solvent is discharged into atmosphere during the process. For the discharge type, VOCs from coating process belongs to organized emission, and VOCs from adhesive preparation, solvent storage and delivery belongs to fugitive emission. Under the abnormal condition, leakage happened in solvent tank will cause the significant environmental and safety risk.The cleaner production and terminal treatment methods are raised for emission reduction considering emission characters, and comprehensively compared several waste gas treatment method in actual engineering application. According to assessment method for environment performance, analyzed the applicability for manufacturing technology. On the basis of actual insulated tape process and original VOCs treatment facility, the optimum plan was raised for organized emission and fugitive emission for volatile organic compound. Finally, the thought for VOCs emission standard for domestic insulated tape industry is raised, after discussing those related foreign emission standards for VOCs management.
