Owing to the developing of optimization design being researched and applied into practice, the methods of traditional fundamental design have been gradually changed. In another word, the modern design, rooting in scientific and rational analysis, has been transited and is actually superseding the traditional one, basing on the experiencing and sensibility. Therefore, it plays an important role and has been valued with CNC design that improving the dynamical property of CNC urgently needs of the optimization design on the lathe bed selection, the stiffened plate design and using the new materials, which my paper also significantly emphasizes.On one hand, according to performance of products, the initial designs of lathe bed have been made. Firstly, using the method of static and dynamic, analyzing and comparing to the three kinds of designed initial lathe bed, ultimately we figure out which is the best; Secondly, choosing the thickness and aperture sizes of the stiffened plate, using the low frequencies as optimal objective, we are designing and optimizing the bed structure, with the methods and theories of the optimal design. Finally, on the basis of comprehensive evaluation and performance index, we've made the conclusions that the machine bed reinforcement with round through hole is the best one. Furthermore, we've also completed the optimization design of the whole and integrated process, with the help of using ANSYS Workbench software, and using the theories of the optimization design.On the other hand, in order to improve the lathe bed structure dynamic performance for the high property of CNC, we quote the thought of optimization design into new material bed structure design. Supposing a resin concrete bed model, the same size to the iron's, first, we establish and analyze the theoretical model; second, we've studied and obtained the index of performance through the theory of dynamical performance; third, we've got the appraisal report of CNC lathe bed, after comparing the resin concrete bed's index to the cast iron bed's. Additionally, quoting the finite element analysis technology, and analyzing the dynamic and static performance between iron and resin concrete beds, certainly we've got the conclusion that the property of resin concrete bed is better than iron's.In a word, after the analysis of two different kinds of material, iron and resin concrete lathe bed, and the latter has been chosen to fit the high performance of CNC. And furthermore, this paper can also sum conclusions up and give the machine manufacturing company some constructive suggestions.
