At present, the mine engineering background is complex, frequent accidents, coal production not only by the threat of natural disasters, but also by their quality of coal miners. Currently, many foreign countries have a mature mine virtual reality system, but the software is not only more expensive in price and scope of use has some limitations, other, high training and maintenance costs for the average enterprise is unable to bear. Therefore, developing a set of easy to use, inexpensive, easy to learn for the virtual enterprise in China's coal mine system is necessary, the issue is raised on this basis.In this paper, fusion of digital image processing, computer graphics, multimedia technology, sensor technology, and other information technology branch of virtual reality technology, development and design of an advanced virtual mine system. The system is designed to VC++as the platform, using advanced modeling tools MultiGen Creator, advanced visual simulation tool Vega, on the mine environment? work equipment to simulate the realistic simulation of the mine complex operating environment, a true representation of the production process, efficient production for the mine, workers safety education, mine accidents, provides reliable protection treatment.The system has been able to turn in Zhongping Mine Group, Minmetals was partially achieved, mainly used in mine safety training and on-site production guidance, the system of the coal miners in improving the quality of production and play a better role in promoting.Virtual reality technology in coal mine engineering will become more widely used, this virtual reality technology future distribution of mineral resources to further Yanjiu forecast mine design optimization, disaster prevention and so on.
