The ecosystem is human sustainable development foundation which provides resources for humanity's survival and society's development needs. However, with the social and economic development, human resource development capacity which had undermined the ecosystem continued to improve. So the coordination capacity of the ecosystem itself and the function of providing services to humans decreased. At the same time, it threatened the survival of human, and restricted the social and economic development. It was very important to identify the main regional environmental problems and orientate the services function of eco-system. Studying on the regional importance of ecosystem service function has become one of the hot issues in the field of environmental science. This Article studies on the importance of ecosystem services fuction. It identified the systems engineering thinking as the study routes, established an index system about the importance of the ecosystem services, and identified the way to evaluate the ecosystem services. It constructed systematic and sequencing technical system to evaluate the importance of ecosystem service function by using integration computing technique, this research has some theoretical value. It also has some practical significance on the orientation of regional ecological functions, ecological environment protection and ecological construction. Main results of the study as follows:(1) The determine of index system:Through analyzing the main types of ecosystem services, screening and confirming the characteristic factor with representativeness, containing, independence and so on, constructing the evaluation index system of the importance of ecosystem services, which includes two levels.This index system includes 7 integration indicators and 13 basis indicators,which are biodiversity conservation, water sources conservation, soil conservation, nutriment conservation, protection of natural and humanities landscape, ecosystem product providing and climate regulation and so on.(2) The theory method of function importance appraisal:Based on the attribute of each service function, the characteristic of corresponding target as well as the relations between each service function and target, the different importance appraisal method was used separately. The single factor qualitative graduation evaluation method was used in the biodiversity conservation importance appraisal.The multi-factor graduation evaluation method and the composite index calculation method was used in the importance appraisal of the water sources conservation and the soil conservation. The multi-factor graduation evaluation method was used in the importance appraisal of the nutrients conservation and the ecosystem product provides.Specially,the importance of the climate regulation was brought into the service function research, and based on the climate effect factors such as terrain factors and ground object factors, the multi-factor geometry weighting method was used in the the importance appraisal of the climate regulation.In the importance appraisal of the nature and humanities landscape, the linear model of the nature and humanities landscape density and the importance was established, and the method of equal weight superposition was used to unit calculate.Based on the result of each integration target appraisal, using the multi-factor weighting method, the quantitative method of the ecosystem service function importance synthetic appraisal was established.(3) The technical means of function importance appraisal:targeted on the identified evaluation method of ecosystem services importance, the study adopted grid technology, GIS, RS and statistical techniques etc, then formed the technical integration system of the importance evaluation of ecosystem service function.Based on data editing, data processing, and spatial analysis methods of GIS technique, completing the vector of the basic information, and slope,aspect, topography, roughness, watersheds were extracted on the basis of the DEM model, then achieved the visualization output and spatial analysis of the single-factor and multi-factor evaluation process; With RS technique was used to extract the land use-cover information and vegetation normalized index information; the SPSS statistical cluster techniques was used in cluster analysis. The grid technology was used to achieve quasi-linear expression of linear model, which was used in the importance evaluation of natural and humanistic landscape, to avoid.the uncontinuous step of area vector unit in the expression.(4) Technical methods of authentication:Take Jiangxian County as the example, the methods that have been established was confirmed.
