The cooling tower used in industry area are mostly opened, because the cooling water and air are direct contact, the water is polluted. In the winter, because of opening the spray water, energy is consumed. Dry and wet cooling closed tower its main part is finned tube heat exchanger, the heat exchange of cooling water and air was happen in the finned tube, that made the water clean, so the water can be used recycled. Moreover, dry and wet cooling tower has the merits of environmental protection, energy conservation, low operating cost and so on. It can also be widely applied in the field of textile, chemical, metallurgy etc. Dry and wet cooling closed tower is the new product in air-conditioning area. But the reports about its configuration design and performance analysis are rarely appeared.According to the first-mentioned background, configuration design and performance analysis of dry and wet closed cooling tower was advanced. This article researches on get mathematical model solution, configuration design, analysis influence factor of cooling performance in two conditions.Firstly, theoretical analyze was made on wet conditions of dry and wet cooling closed tower. By appropriate simplifications, the mathematical model of wet conditions has been established. Governing equation and boundary condition are confirmed, at last get analytic solution.Secondly, the heat exchange mechanism of dry and wet closed cooling tower was analyzed, get the heat transfer coefficient and mass transfer coefficient, by optional finned tube dry and wet cooling closed tower are designed according to idiographic example, and the cooling performance of the heat exchanger operating at dry and wet conditions was respectively analyzed, find transition temperature of dry and wet conditions.Thirdly, analyze the influence of dry and wet closed cooling tower operating parameters and configuration parameters on the cooling performance. In the wet condition the operating parameters includes:spray water flow rate, air flow rate, the air wet-bulb temperature, cooling water flow rate; the configuration parameters includes:the length and width of heat exchanger, the arrangement form and inside diameter of tube. In the dry condiyion the operating parameters includes:the air dry-bulb temperature and wind speed of windward.At last, the paper presented the progress and conclusion on configuration design and performance analysis of dry and wet closed cooling tower, pointed out the further study direction on how to improve it, and forecasted its future development.In this article, based on the heat and mass exchange theoretical foundation, the mathematical model is established, according to the idiographic example, dry and wet cooling closed tower are designed, and find the transition temperature, and cooling effect by each kind of influence factors is analyzed. That can offer valuable reference for engineer and users.
