| This article has carried on the analysis to the soil heavy metal pollution status of Tai'an urban in 2008-2009, including As, Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Cr, Ni, and using single-factor pollution index to evaluate the soil environment in Tai'an urban, and propose the countermeasure and the suggestion to the soil pollution controlling of Tai'an urban. The main findings are as follows:1. There were different soil environmental qualities in different areas. As and Cd were mainly in Dongping , Pb was mainly in Ningyang , Ni and Cu were mainly in Taian City , Cr was mainly in Feicheng City , Zn was mainly in Taishan. As:Dongping>Feicheng City> Ningyang > Xintai City > Daiyue > Taishan; Cd: Dongping > Xintai City > Ningyang > Taishan > Daiyue > Feicheng City;Cr:Feicheng City > Xintai City≈Dongping > Ningyang > Daiyue > Taishan;Cu:Xintai City > Taishan > Daiyue≈Dongping > Feicheng City > Ningyang;Ni:Xintai City > Dongping > Feicheng City > Daiyue > Taishan > Ningyang;Pb:Ningyang > Daiyue > Dongping > Feicheng City > Xintai City≈Taishan;Zn:Taishan > Xintai City > Feicheng City > Daiyue > Dongping > Ningyang.2. The content of heavy metal elements in the different trades and the surrounding were lower than the limit,including major polluting enterprises,industrial Park,main vegetable base and mining areas.Cd and Pb were mainly in the mining areas,As and Zn were mainly in the major polluting enterprises,Cr,Cu and Ni were mainly in the main vegetable base.3. The soil environmental quality of Taian City was overall good but nickel-metal exceed the standard, and standard rate was 12.7%, which was mainly in the southeast of Xintai City and the southeast of Daiyue. Taian key polluting enterprises, industrial parks, main vegetable base, mining areas and the surrounding do not find exceeded heavy metal in soil, so soil environmental quality is good. Cd and Pb were mainly in the mining areas,As and Zn were mainly in the major polluting enterprises,Cr,Cu and Ni were mainly in the main vegetable base.
