In this paper,a new corrosion and scaleinhibitor1-amino-2-(benzotriazolyl) ethylidene-1, 1-diphosphonic acid (ABEDP) was designed and synthesized according to optimized molecule structure theory. It had common feature and molecule structure of phosphonate and benztriazole. Furthermore, it significantly reduced the volume of phosphorus less than the current use of the organic acid. So its biodegradability was improved. It can replace existing phosphonate corrosion and scale inhibitors,which could be extensively applied in circulating water and chemical cleaning drug.1-amino-2-(benzotriazolyl) ethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid is synthesized through two reactive steps-substitution reaction and addition reaction by using benztriazole, chloroacetonitrile and phosphorous acid as raw material. The product (ABEDP) was purified by multi-times recrystallization, multi-times dehydrated, dried in vacuum. The character of ABEDP was characterized by IR spectra and elementary analysis.The antiscaling property of synthetic product was studied by using method of bubble, the effect of scale inhibitor concentration, [Ca2+], pH, as well as reaction time on ABEDP performance were discussed. The results showed:in the condition of [Ca2+] 240mg/L,scaling reaction time 6h and pH 7.0, increased ABEDP concentration can add scale inhibiting performance; In the water condition of ABEDP scale inhibiting performance, alkalescence is better than acidity. According to the orthogonal experiment and practical application and the cost accounting,the optimal scale inhibiting performance condition to the industrial cycle cooling wate is that [Ca2+] 240 mg/L, pH 7.0,temperature 45℃,ABEDP 10 mg/L,and the optimal scale inhibition ratio can be up to 63.58%.A rotary hanged weight losing method was used to measure the anticorrosion properties of the synthetic products to A3 carbon steel and brass. The result indicate, in the stimulant water quality, anticorrosion reaction 72 h,60mg/L of ABEDP shows well effect of anticorrosion rate for A3 carbon steel and anticorrosion rate reach 54.38%;If it is used inpretreatment film, use 160mg/L of ABEDP pre-fihrang treatment, then reaction 48h, 10mg/L of ABEDP was enough to reach 80.24%; at the same condition, brass anti-corrosion ratio could be up to 97.38%.
