The comprehensive recovery of associated silver in Lead and zinc sulfide is always the difficult problem in the integrated utilization of silver mineral, the traditional process is usually used to recover the lead and zinc under the high alkali condition with lime, but it is difficult to comprehensively recover associated silver because of its similar floatability with pyrite and is easy to be depressed. The passage took Pb-Zn-Ag sulfide ore in Sichuan Huili Zinc ore as the research object, the comprehensive recovery process and its mechanism of silver was studied, which provided bases to search more appropriate technique. The main research contents are as follows:The research of the technical mineralogy and Pb-Zn-Ag ore flotation behaviors finds out the influence of comprehensive recovery of associated silver. The results show that silver mineral is sensitive to pulp pH and its floatability begines to drop greatly after pH is more than 9.0. Meanwhile, 95.67% of silver in associated form is present in the ore, and they are only recovered with the carrier minerals instead of flotation because they are difficult to monomer disintegrate due to their complex embedded features and fine granularity. The research of comprehensive recovery associated silver with zinc ore in Sichuan Huili was carried out which was based on the study results of technical mineralogy and flotation behaviors. The results show that floating separation of lead-zinc ore and effective suppression of pyrite is realized, while silver mineral is enriching recovered in the lead concentrate as much as possible. Calcium chloride and sodium humate is used as the suppressant of pyrite, zinc sulfide is adopted to suppress sphalerite, diethyldithiocarbamate and dithiophosphate BA is used as the collector of lead and associated silver. Sphalerite and associated silver mineral is separated from the lead floatation tailings under the condition of low alkali (PH is 8.5) and a good experiment index is obtained, copper sulfide is used as the activator, the suppressant is calcium chloride and sodium humate, butyl xanthate is collector. The technique was used on the industrial application research and the results show that the new technique not only can improve the grade and recovery of lead and zinc concentrate but also significantly improve the recovery of silver, and the enriching recovery of silver in the lead and zinc concentrate is obtained. Compared to the former high alkali process, the recovery of lead and silver in lead concentrate was up by 0.38% and 11.56% respectively, zinc and silver in zinc concentrate by 0.1% and 10.66% and the total recovery of silver was up by 22.22%.The direction of silver was analysed in the new technique and the result shows that it is the same to the direction of lead and zinc, silver is recovered as the enrichment of lead and zinc, and the enrichment percent is almost similar. The results also demonstrate that the new technique is absolutely feasible to enriching recover silver mineral with lead and zinc as the main carrier minerals. The mechanism research of the new technique is carried out by utilizing the modern testing technology and action principle of the floatation reagents. The results show that diethyldithiocarbamate and dithiophosphate BA and butyl xanthate have good collecting action on silver mineral and it is benefit for recovering it by flotation. While zinc sulfide and calcium chloride and sodium humate have strong inhibility action on sphalerite and pyrite, but it can not affect the floatability of silver mineral, the whole technique is carried out under the low-alkali condition when the pulp pH was 8.5 and benefit for comprehensively recovering lead-zinc and associated silver mineral.
