Sulphidizing flotation is the main method of copper oxide processing, but it has a low recovery rate of micro-fine copper oxide. How to improve the flotation recovery of micro-fine copper oxide ores is not yet resolved in mineral processing. By means of malachite mono mineral flotation tests, solution behavior tests of mineral surface and infrared spectroscopy tests, this paper have studied the strengthening effect and its mechanism of ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, ethylenediamine and DMTD on the micro fine malachite sulphidizing flotation. Rational dressing process for serious sliming cobalt-copper oxide ore is also studied. The conclusions are stated as follows.Only using sulfide-xanthate flotation in micro fine malachite is ineffective. But ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, ethylenediamine and DMTD can observably intensify the sulphidizing flotation effect to micro fine malachite when in proper conditions. The best dosages of these four reagents are 1×10-3mol/L,1×10-3mol/L,5×10-5mol/L,1×10-4mol/L, respectively. The best pH conditions are 9.2,9.1,10.5,7.3, respectively.In condition of big dosage, ammonium sulfate and ammonium chloride do not inhibit malachite. However, ethylenediamine and DMTD can strongly inhibit malachite when the usage is more than 1×10-4mol/L.Ammonium sulfate and ammonium chloride can intensify sulphidizing flotation only when sodium sulphide coexists. Ethylenediamine and DMTD could improve the sulphidizing flotation of micro fine malachite through its coordination interaction with copper ions on mineral surface and in the pulp.Intensified sulphidizing flotation technology of fine copper oxide ores has been developed. It can choose the asynchronous flotation flowsheet, which sulfide minerals separated first and then goes the oxide ore flotation, to deal with serious sliming cobalt-copper oxide ores. Compared with traditional sulphidizing flotation technology, this new method can improve the recovery of cobalt and copper by 2.52% and 11.25%.
