China's water resource is very shortage, while the water pollution is more serious. In recent years, with the development of China's petrochemical industry, demand on water and the waste water is increasing significantly. In order to alleviate the water shortage situation, the depth of sewage treatment was carried.It not only to save fresh water, but also reducing the emission of pollutants, reducing the pressure on the environment of pollutants.This study of advanced wastcwatcr treatment process was carried out in lab-scale and trial-scale which aimed at the sewage discharged by Petrochina Liaoyang Petrochemical Company, using a micro flocculation-direct filtration process and enhanced coagulation-sedimentation-filtration of the advanced treatment process. Firstly, this paper outlines the process of conventional water treatment processes, as well as the factors that affect the water treatment process, then the further discussion of the factors which affect water treatment. Secondly, this paper makes a detailed analysis of the factors which have greater impact.On this basis, through the pilot test,we detennined the best operating point of the two processes,and studied the optimization of water treatment processes.Then the coagulant dosage optimal mathematical model of coagulation and filtration and the integrated micro-flocculation filtration performance evaluation was built.For this experiment, the results show that the best working conditions of the microflocculation-direct filtration process as the follow:the dosage was 15mg/L,the filtration rate is 8m/h. Indicators of water treatment quality at this time was TP≤0.65mg/L, turbidity≤2.0NTU, COD≤31.52mg/L.And the best working conditions of the coagulation test was that the dosage 30mg/L,the flocculation time was 20min.The water treatment quality was TP:0.087mg/L, turbidity:1.5NTU, COD:29.88mg/L.Finally, the study of modification of quartz sand filter was curried out. Through the study of modification of quartz sand filter, changes the surface of the original physical and chemical properties and improves the media adsorptivity of certain substances and enhanced the filter media interception capability. Quartz sand were modified with aluminum and iron salts, through the static and dynamic filtration test assay, the result was compared between modified and unmodified quartz sand on removal of organic matter and turbidity. The experimental results showed that the modified sand removal of COD and turbidity was better than the unmodified, the removal rate of COD was increased from 5% to 20%~30% and for turbidity the removal rate was increased from 37% to 55%~65%,the result of the dynamic test and static test were consistent,the removal rate increased in both. And different metal oxide modified by the performance of sand is different.
