Along with the increase of population, the expansion of the city scale and the improvement of residents'living standards, the amount of the municipal solid waste of china is increased rapidly. Municipal solid waste incinerator bottom ash is also growing rapidly. Reuse of the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash can save the land for waste occupation. There are benefits to reuse bottom ash such as energy saving, emission reduction and resource recycling.In this paper, firstly, we studied the engineering performance of the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash, including its physical properties, such as density, particle size, components in the ahs and chemical composition. We explored the use of recycled aggregate as the feasibility of building by comparing to the natural raw materials. At the same time we studied the harmfulness to environment of the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash. The conclusion is that:the physical and chemical properties of municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash is similar to the natural aggregate, and the leaching concentration of heavy metals is far less than the standard level, the ash can be directly used as secondly building materials.Secondly, fired bricks are produced by using the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash to replace the natural raw materials and we then studied the preparation, mechanical properties of the fired brick. Experiments show that:If other conditions remain unchanged, with the size of bottom ash increasing, the strength of fired brick will be reduced; if the size of bottom ash varies, with the increasing amount of bottom ash, the strength of fired brick will be reduced. The SEM of fired bricks are dense,the strength of the bricks is high.The optimum ratio can be as follows:the contents of bentonite is 40%-50%, bottom ash is 30%-50%, fly ash is 10%-25%,glass is 3%, molding pressure is 10MPa. Sintering system is:Starting from room temperature, temperature reaches to 100℃whit minutes, at 100℃, it is kept for 20 minutes; The pre-sintering heating rate is 2℃/min to 400℃, kept for 20 minutes; reaches to 650℃by using the same rate, kept for 20 minutes; The pre-sintering heating rate is 5℃/ min to 900℃, kept for 120 minutes. Finally, the fired brick will be cooled naturally.Finally, we studied the potential hydration activity of he municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash and preliminary produced curing products sing by using the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash. The results show that:the municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash has hydration activity, and the early hydration activity of bottom ash is stronger than fly ash. The curing brick compressive strength of the products can be achieved to 20Mpa by using the bottom ash as supplementary cementing material and support aggregate.
