The space camber part has got vast application in modern industries of aviation, space flight, automobile and mold etc. But as their processing quality is constrained by the cutting machine tool performance, quality of the tools and technical skill of the operators, it's difficult to ensure the processing quality stability and making it difficult to meet the quality requirement of some precision parts. Of all these factors, change of the cutting tool parameters is the most important factor affecting the surface processing quality, so how to ensure its consistency has become the core technology to improve the processing quality.In order to solve the core problem of"cutting tool parameter variation during camber processing", this paper carries out research on the change of cutting speed and tool angle during processing through theoretical analysis of the space camber machining process, and reaches the conclusion that quality instability of traditional processing method is mainly due to change of the cutting angle. Meanwhile the constant spindle speed causes cutting speed change at different curvature radius and thus affects the part surface quality and the tool life.Based on the above conclusions, the author designs the processing method of space camber parts while holding the tool angle and cutting speed in processing, and develops the process equipment utilizing modern CNC technology, designs the multi-axis CNC lathe and realizes processing equipment keeping the tool angle and cutting speed constant, having great significance and practical value to the processing quality improvement and the scope explanation.Based on theoretical analysis, design of the overall program and the mechanical structure and key components is done on the process equipment focusing on the detailed design of the turn table and the tool holder maintaining the cutting angle stability. Structural design of six-axis CNC lathe is proposed to improve the machining quality and to expand the machining range making a high theoretical significance and economic potential.
