TaiZi river basin is the traditional industrial area in northeast China, with huge water consumption as well as blowdown amount, meanwhile, TaiZi river mainstream has constructed of several reservoirs and sluice dams, cutoff frequently occurred downstream in dry season, it has severely affected city residents in production and living. Therefore, to solve the situation, The paper chose the reach between two large reservoirs Guanyinge and Shenwo of Taizi river mainstream as the research object, built hydrological model, hydrodynamic model and water quality model in turn to studied on water quality and quantity coordinate scheduling.The main research content and results are as follows:(1)Chose MIKE11 software as solver tool, first built a rainfall-runoff module, calibrated model parameters using historical runoff data; then built hydrodynamic module, coupled with rainfall-runoff module to calibrate roughness of the reach; then analyzed the rationality of simulation parameter value; the models'results fitted well with measured data, and simulation parameter values can well reflect regional runoff yield and concentration characteristics and river flow evolution process.(2)Built water quality model based on water quantity model, calibrated attenuation coefficient and diffusion coefficient; then simulated water quality in current year using the built models, calculated and evaluated water environmental capacity in each water function area, emphatically in dry season. The result showed that blowdown controlled water function area polluted seriously, water quality in dry season is inferior toâ…¤class and water environmental capacity was overrun. Pointed out water quantity is the key factor of water quality restriction in dry season, by it increased could decrease the pollution concentration, as well as(3)Researched on a coordinate scheduling scheme of sluice dams in highly polluted reach and pointed out sluice dams was finite to regulate water quantity in the river; so the paper considered to combine Guanyinge reservoir with sluice dams as a coordinate scheduling mode; as the runoff had reached the largest quantity while water quality was still far behind the standard, so the research considered pollution source controlling. By operating the reservoir-sluice dams coordinate scheduling scheme with pollution source controlled, in severe pollution reach, the main organic pollutants COD and NH3-N had met the water quality standard of water function area; water environmental capacity for NH3-N had got surplus and for COD had increased by 62.8%.Lastly, the conclusions and problems need to be further studied are given at the end of the paper.
