The constructions of dam and sluice,on the one hand,can regulate the distribution of water resource in both space and time,and play a significant economic benefits in flood control,irrigation,power generation,navigation etc.On the other hand,however,the river is cut off because of the constructions of dam and sluice,changing the water flow and water quality in river and affecting runoff interannual variation or runoff annual distribution.As well as,a series of water environmental effects occur in the basin.Therefore,it is necessary for us to conduct further research on the influence of constructions of dam and sluice on hydrologic variation.Impact of the constructions of dam and sluice on the changing process of water flow and water quality were simulated and analyzed through the construction of hydrodynamic model and water quality model,which have the great significance to eliminate the adverse effects of dam constructions on water flow and water quality by optimal the dam operation.Besides,it contributes to water resources reasonable allocation and efficient utilization,and play an important role on the aspects of coordinating economic development and protecting water ecological environment.Based on analyzing foreign and domestic research progress of hydrological variation research and environmental effect of dam and sluice construction research,the upper and middle reaches of Huaihe River Basin was selected as study area,where has numerous of dams and sluices.The effects of water flow and water quality change were study furtherly.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Choosing above the Bengbu Sluice region of Huaihe River Basin as study area,runoff series form 1960 to 2010 year in eleven monitoring stations in study area were selected to examine the variation whether exist in the series.In this paper,mainly conduct trend inspection and mutation test.According to the test results,major influence factors on hydrologic variation were analyzed from the aspects of climate change,underlying surface,dam and sluice constructions respectively.(2)In order to research influence of dam construction on water quantity and quality,from the hydrological monitoring stations that more likely have significant mutation chosen Wangjiaba Dam,Zhoukou Dam,Fuyang Dam,Bengbu Dam and other dams to built hydrodynamic and water quality model of sluice-controlled river.Utilized the model to simulate water quantity and quality change of the upper and middle reaches of Huaihe River,and combined with measured dates to parameter rating and model validation.(3)By scenario analyses and numerical simulation,and carried out a series of simulations under different upstream flow,whether has a dam,and gate opening variation etc.And observed,analyzed and summarized the changing process of water quantity and water quality.
