The quick development of steel industry makes higher request to quality and output of the coke. The coking equipment has been heading for large scale. While resource for coking has been becoming less, the stamping coking technique can expand the scope of it and improve the coke's quality. Stamping charging car produces the briquette directly during stamping. Its performance determines the briquette's quality, and then affects coke's quality. In our country, design of the stamping charging car is still on the phase of analog design. The main factor that restricts the equipment's development is the uncertainty of the load, including the stamping pressure and the sidewall pressure. Because of the complexity of the briquette's constitutive behavior, the material nonlinearity must be considered in the research on loading, which brings more difficulty. Experiment can obtain the relatively accurate load, but it is not general and costs too much.In order to study the influence of the briquette's material nonlinearity on design load and obtain the design load of the stamping charging car economically, material nonlinear dynamic simulation is carried out in this paper.Firstly, ABAQUS is redeveloped, and a nonlinear elastic model named Duncan-Chang is achieved which is applicable for implicit dynamic analysis.Secondly, dynamic simulation of the stamping process is carried out using this model to research on the distribution and the variation of the stamping pressure and sidewall pressure.Thirdly, an experiment for verifying the simulation is designed. Data of the stamping pressure and the sidewall pressure are obtained through the experiment. Then results of the simulation and the experiment are contrasted. The result shows that the stamping pressure and the sidewall pressure obtained by simulation are similar with the experiment. The simulation technique proposed in this paper can be a feasible method for obtaining the design load. Finally, set the sidewall structure of the 5.5m stamping charging car as an example, to chiefly demonstrate the role of the simulation in structure design. The result shows that the weight of the structure decreases obviously and the cost is cut.
