Land on which the carrier of a variety of terrestrial ecosystems and the human survival and sustainable development of the material is the basis of human social and economic activities in all of the basic space. In the process of land use, different land-use structure and pattern, the land ecosystem's type, size, spatial distribution, service functions and value are different too. With the development of society, the progress of science and technology, the growth of population, and the unreasonable exploitation of land resources in the human social economic activities, the global environment problems are becoming seriously and intensified, and the research of land use/land cover change are becoming more and more important. The Three Gorges water conservancy project on the ecological impact of Three Gorges reservoir area has been a community concern and the focus of controversy. Under these preconditions, this paper selected Zhong County as the study area, which is one of the Three Gorges reservoir area in Chongqing. The article analyzed the change of the land-using structure and area according to 9 types of land such as cultivated land, garden, forest, grassland, the other agricultural land, construction land, communications and water conservancy land, water and unused land. And the paper also using some models such as the single land -use dynamic degree, the comprehensive land-use dynamic degree, the land use degree composite index, the land use degree variation and the land use degree rate, to analyzed the land use /land cover change of Zhong county during 1996-2008.Based on the theoretical study of ecosystem services, the article used the Chinese ecosystem services value unit area of different ecosystem types and according to the actual situation of loyalty to adjust accordingly, used the ecosystem services value (ESV) estimation formula which made by Costanza, then calculated the ecosystem services value over the years and analyzed the space changes of it in Zhong County, and also analyzed the interaction and relationship between the land use change and ecosystem service value。With these researches, we got the following conclusions:(1) From 1996 to 2008, the changes of land use in Zhong County were as follows:cultivated land> forest> garden> traffic and water conservation land. Among them, cultivated land had the biggest annual variation which the average reduction was 961.98 hectares. The second is forest with the annual average increased 733.03 hectares.(2) Generally, the trend of ecosystem services value of Zhong County was increasing from 3559.72 million Yuan to 3618.44 million Yuan between the years from 1996 to 2008, there were 58.72 million Yuan increased during the twelve years. Specifically, the ecosystem services value of the cultivated land, the other agricultural land, the waters and the unused land were decreased, in which the cultivated land were decreased the most; and the ecosystem services value of the garden, the forest, the construction land and the traffic and water conservancy land were increased, in which the forest increased the most.(3)The spatial distribution of the total amount ecosystem services value of Zhong County showed decreasing from the area of Yangtze River to the surrounding. And at the same time, the unit area ecosystem services value showed the same trend. Some high value of ecosystem services per unit area are mainly distributed in the area of Yangtze River, forest and some place of intact vegetation.According to the research, the paper made a conclusion:strengthening the protection of farmland and make the farmland ecosystem optimization; strengthening the forest ecosystem services function; economical and intensive land, and control the construction land strictly; and make the ecological tourism develop positively. The preparation of a scientific land-use planning, land-use macro-control measures, can contribute to the sustainable use of land and eco environment of Zhong County.
