The moving bed biofilm reactor is a new biofilm reactor. It has been received considerable attention for academic and application aims, and there are many efforts focused on the study and exploiting of the structure and operation manner of MBBR. However, there are some problems in moving bed biofilm reactor, for example:suspended filler collided each other, the damage rate for filler relative higher; After the filler surface biofilm, it is easily settled to the bottom of the reactor, influencing the water quality of effluent. To the deficiency of MBBR, using new-type biological ceramic as suspended filler in this study, based on the traditional moving bed biofilm reactor, there is a improvement about its internal structure, using plastic punch partition divided the reactors into 4 equal-sized layers, constitute a layered moving bed biofilm reactor, making ceramic can be evenly distributed in its internal, keeping a good fluidization state, so it is improve the efficiency of the role of sewage treatment.After experimental analysis, some important results and conclusions are as follows:(1)During the stage of bio-film cultivationg, with the increased of days of bio-films,the removal rate of COD,NH3-N and TP keep rising. However, the removal rate of COD is higher than the rate of NH3-N. On day 18 of bio-films, removal rate of COD reached 80%, NH3-N reached 40%, TP nearly 18%.(2)The New-type layered biological ceramic moving bed biofilm reactor technology has high removal efficiency for the COD and NH3-N. Under the conditions of the influent COD concentration 180-210mg/L, concentration of NH3-N is 16-18mg/L, concentration of TP is 3-4mg/L, HRT was 10h, DO was 3-4mg/L and pH was 6.5-7.5, the effluent COD, NH3-N and TP were 24-31 mg/L,16-18 mg/L,2.8-3.3 mg/L respectively. The COD and NH3-N in the effluents has come close to or already met the national standards "Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Pollutant Emission Standards (GB18918-2002)" A in Gradeâ… , TP attained Gradeâ…¡standards.(3)The New-type layered biological ceramic moving bed biofilm reactor possesses has a better resist hydraulic load capability and against COD load capability.(4)After the orthogonal experiment, determined the optimal operation parameters of the reactor. The optimal technologic parameters of COD is HRT is 14h, the influent COD concentration 150mg/L, DO is 4mg/L, pH is 7; The optimal technologic parameters of NH3-N is HRT is14 h, the influent COD concentration 150mg/L, DO is 4mg/L, pH is 8.5.
