Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (referred to as MBBR) is the new sewage treatment technology which is formed on the base of the fluid bed.MBBR has been developed as a new high efficient biofilm wastewater treatment process recently. Compared with activated sludge process, MBBR has many advantages, such as high treatment effieiency, high organic loading, lower energy consumption, much more simple operation, less surplus sludge and no sludge filmentation bulking and so on.In this paper, the combination process of Activated sludge and Moving Bed Bio-film Reactor, which is transformed from the conventional treatment process, is introduced and applied to the test. The removel rate of COD,NH3-N & Oil and the capability of resistance to organic shock loads are studied. On the condition of water intake amount 120-150m3/h, temperature 28-35℃, HRT 11~14h, sludge return ratio 0.9, pH 7~8, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3.0~5.0mg/L, the results of this research are as follows:1,In the process of A/O+MBBR the removal efficiency of COD is 81.74% on the condition of influent concentration amount 152.8mg/L~540.0mg/L,and the effluent concentration is 48.19mg/L; On the condition of NH3-N influent concentration amount 10.76mg/L~17.98mg/L, the removal efficiency is 48.10% and the effluent concentration is 7.74mg/L; On the condition of Oil influent concentration amount 14.0mg/L~80.0mg/L, the removal efficiency is 91.00% and the effluent concentration is 3.62mg/L2,Despite the water quality is volatile, the new technology has distinct advantages on pollutant removal and the capability of resistance to organic shock loadings. the water quality can reach the first class of Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard.3,The conclusion of this experimental studies shows that the process of A/O+MBBR to improve current oil refinery wasterwater plant is absolutely feasible. We can ensure water quality on the condition of not change the constructure of aeration tank.
