Validation And Correction Studies Of The PIPEPHASE Multi-phase Flow Calculation Software

Oil-gas-water multiphase pipeline pressure drop calculation of oil and gas gathering and transportation pipeline management process design and operation of one of the main hydraulic calculation.PIPEPHASE software is mainly used for oil field gathering system, which is oil-gas-water three phase flow calculation.The software including the oil-gas-water multiphase steady-state calculation module. The software uses some empirical formulas to calculate the pipeline pressure drop.Since each formula is related to a specific experimental data taking conditions.Thus, the more similar conditions, the more accurate the results and vice versa.Currently,PIPEPHASE software application conditions in the Daqing oil field has not been determined, with uncertainty in engineering design. It is necessary to carry out studies on the subject that is validation and correction studies of the PIPEPHASE multi-phase flow calculation software.In the article, the PIPEPHASE software simulation results comparison with experimental results in the tables. Found that the software results are influenced by a number of parameters,such as water percentage,bulk temperature,gas-oil ratio. Software default pressure drop correlation that BBM model calculation error excess of the allowable range when the output liquid rate is greater than 5m3/h,gas-oil ratio is greater than 300m3/h,water percentage is between 55% and 75%, or the oil temperature is below 60℃. Therefore BBM model needs to be amended. The environmental temperature changes has little on the results of BBM.This is the first time to use LINGO software to amend BBM model results successfully,using least square method to fit simulated results and measured values,obtained fitting relation.PIPEPHASE multiphase flow calculation software calculate wellhead back pressure using collected data which is from the first and second and the third oil extraction plant. Results substituted into the fitting relationship,the error is less than 8%. Thereby increasing the accuracy of the software and expanding the scope of the software greatly, improving the economic efficiency significantly.
