Ionic liquids are widely used in many fields due to their excellent properties, such as high ionic conductivity, low vapor pressure, good thermal and electrochemical stability, environmentally friendly, However, when ionic liquids are used as electrolytes, they are not as easy as solid electrolytes because of their liquidity, furthermore, the polymers solid electrolytes are easily fabricated because of its good mechanical property, so we planed to obtain a polymer ionic liquids electrolytes which are completely compatible combination of ionic liquid and polymer, we assumed that the polymer ionic liquids electrolytes can be applied in the fields of lithium batteries and capacitors owing to its safety and stability. In this paper, polyether polyurethane macromolecular electrolytes with side-chain ionic liquids are obtained by the reaction of long chain ionic liquids grafting on the polyepichlorohydrin, and then reaction with diisocyanate. The main study contents are as follows:(1) Four ionic liquids with side chain of polyglycols have been synthesized by the reaction of N-methyl-imidazole with four mono-chlorinated multiple contraction glycols, and characterized by IR, NMR. Their properties of solubility and electrical conductivity are also investigated.(2) Eight new polyethers with side chain ionic liquids have been obtained by the reaction of four ionic liquids with side chain of polyglycols and polyepichlorohydrin (M=2500) and hydroxyl terminated polyepichlorohydrin (M=1000) respectively, and characterized by IR, NMR. Their properties of solubility and electrical conductivity are also investigated.(3) Four ionic liquids with side chain of polyglycols have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine with four mono-chlorinated multiple contraction glycols. Four new polyethers with side chain ionic liquids have been obtained by the reaction of four ionic liquids with side chain of polyglycols and hydroxyl terminated polyepichlorohydrin (M=1000) respectively, and characterized by IR, NMR. Their properties of solubility and electrical conductivity are also investigated.(4) Eight hydroxyl terminated polyepichlorohydrin grafting products are reacted with diphenyl-methane- diisocyanate respectively to obtain Eight side-chain polyether polyurethane ionic liquids polyelectrlyts. They are characterized by FTIR, NMR.
