Along with the rapid development of the various constructions, infrastructureconstructions have been expanding continuously. As the important equipment ofdevelopment and utilization of aboveground and underground space, Roof Bolter hasgreat prospects for development. The structure, working mode of the working device ofthe rig relates directly to rig's work quality and efficiency directly. This text studies thestructure of the drill pipe replacement mechanism and feed mechanism of the power head,hydraulic control circuit, and kinematics simulation, model and size optimization of thestructure.On the base of the analysis of existing drill pipe replacement device and feedmechanism of the power head, and considering adaptability, efficiency, cost andConstruction quality of all aspects, designing the structural of automatic disassembly ofthe drill pipe mechanism and feed mechanism which is double distance in detail, and alsogiving the hydraulic control circuit, the method for determining the dynamic sourceparameters.In order to make sure whether the design of the key components compliance withstrength, deformation and other design requirements, carrying out finite element analysisto key components which are connection shaft, support, and the clamp mechanism usingCOSMOSWorks.According to the design of working device, in order to get more realistic movementof its state, and the needed data, the kinematics simulation was applied to the automaticdisassembly of the drill pipe mechanism and double distance feed mechanism,and thesimulation result verifies the effectiveness of the design; Meanwhile, analysing the modeof the whole work device which provides the basis for power head frequency selection,which contain the situation of natural frequency and stiffness, and pointing out theinsufficiency of Structure design, also, some suggestions are put forward .In the case of meeting the design requirements to minimize the objective function ofquality of parts, a mathematical model optimization of the support was established;Comparing of the results before and after optimization, proves the feasibility andeffectiveness of the optimization .
