As the last procedure to complete the processes of spinning department, automatic winder machine is moving forward in the direction of high speed and automation, which puts forward new requirements to the stability of each component. The automatic winder machine cannot work without a negative pressure system, which as an important factor not only provide negative pressure for many negative pressure demand devices, also influence the stability and efficiency of the automatic winder machine. Numerical and experimental methods are combined to investigate the internal pressure and velocity distributions of the automatic winder machine yarn suction duct at multiple working conditions. With the internal pressure and velocity analyzed, the optimization schemes are put forward. Through the automatic winder machine yarn suction duct structure optimization design and analysis, the suction model of yarn suction duct with bending pipes is formed, which enhance the negative pressure stability and the flow flied capability of disturbance resistance in the yarn suction duct. Main research in this paper includes:1. According to the actual automatic winder machine, the structure size and the working conditions of yarn suction duct are introduced, which clarify the research object and the direction of optimization design.2. The initial flow field distribution is obtained in yarn suction duct from the simulation of the simplified single unit model; through the gradual establishment and improvement of single unit model to multi-unit, multi-condition models, a series of numerical simulations are completed to get the distribution characters of the flow field and internal pressure; the suction arm model is simulated to get the location of main pressure loss.3. An inclined inlet pipe model is proposed based on the yarn suction duct simulation and the distribution of internal flow and pressure are compared with the former models, the advantage and shortcoming is analyzed based on the structure of the automatic winder machine. With the further simplified yarn suction duct, a 2-d model of straight diversion yarn suction duct is put forward, and the shortcoming is analyzed based on the internal flow and pressure distribution of the 30 units cases;4. Furth more, a yarn suction duct with bend pipe diversion is put forward, the different angles models are compared and analyzed based on the distribution of internal flow and pressure; experimental study on automatic winder yarn suction duct model is performed, and the improvement on negative pressure stability of optimization automatic winder yarn model is analyzed to verify the reliability of the numerical method.
