In this thesis we focus on the synthesis of microporous and mesoporous molecular sieves. We synthesized mesoporous silica films via solvent evaporation induced self-assembly. We also synthesized microporous Nickel-titanium phosphate and Aluminum phosphate via solvothermal synthesis.The macro-and micro-morphology and the channel system of the film were characterized and determined. We discuss the effect of volatilization time and volatilization temperature on the pore size of films. What's more we introduce a new approach to tailor the pore size which is better than the former approaches because it could enlarge the pore size with out negative influences on the pore size uniformity. A model based on the charge density match mechanism is given to explain the pore size tailoring approach.Microporous Nickel-titanium phosphate with various structures are obtained from the solvothermal reaction system, in which a mixture of water and iso-butanol serve as co-solvent, tri-n-propylamine serves as template, titanium isopropoxide serves as Ti source, nickel powder serves as Ni source, orthophosphoric acid serves as P source and tetramethylammonium hydroxide is used to control the value of pH. A kind of Nickel-titanium phosphate with ultra-microporous structure and some big single Nickel phosphate microporous crystals come from this system.Aluminum phosphate microporous molecular sieves are synthesized from pure solvents or bi-solvent or tri-solvent. In a series of synthesis, we obtain many AlPO4-5 aggregates with various shapes and Aluminum phosphate with different structures.The method to synthesize mesoporous silica films mentioned in this thesis is very simple and cheap. The film mentioned in this thesis has many interesting applications. This film has a good performance of flexibility and inter-connected wormhole-like channel system, so it could be used as separator in fuel cells. The film could also be used widely in high temperature gas separation and high temperature sensors.
