In this paper we focus on synthesis new types of multi-carboxylatessurfactant and based on the synthsis, we study the properties and character ofthe surfactant. In addition, we explore its function in mesoporous matrialsincluding silica and non-silica mesoporous materials.We study the new types of surfactants from structure and property indeeply. Especially, aim at the alky long-chain four carboxylates polarheadgroup surfactant. Its large headgroup makes it well form hexagonal phasestructure, it has unique function to be applied in non-lamellar phasemesoporous materials due to its special structural character. Moreover, criticalmicelle concentration is one of the most important properties. Therefore, it isnecessary to study the critical micelle concentration and surface tension atdifferent temperature. In addtion, carboxylate has good chelating ability withmetal ion, the measure method for chelating ability puts a way for preparingmesoporous metal oxide.Mesoporous SiO2was synthesized using the hexadecyldiamine surfactantas template and explore the characters in preparing the SiO2and study theratios of different material such as the volume of solve agent and the effect ofacid volume on the dispersion of mesoporous SiO2We also explore the synthesis condition on mesoporou metal oxide byusing the hexadecylfourcarboxyl surfactant as template. We study differentmethods such as water thermal and solve evaporate self-assemble in theprocess to prepare Co3O4, and structure and morphology are also studied atdifferent pH condition. Meanwhile, characterize the mesoporous Co3O4byTEM, N2absorption-desorption and so forth.
