Setting-up calculation of rolling schedule is the core content of tandem cold rolling production technology in the rolling process of strip steel. The reasonable rolling schedule can reduce the production energy consumption, improve the product quality, make the automated control to be easier to realize, consequently get a better control results. With the unceasing development of rolling technology, formulate rolling schedule by empirical method can not satisfy the production demand. Therefore, the study on optimization of rolling schedule has very important realistic meanings.Based on the technology models and producing requirements of strip steel rolling, with kinds of rolling parameter models in tandem cold rolling process, this paper take the optimization rolling schedule of five-stand tandem cold rolling mills as object study utilizing improved adaptive genetic algorithm.Firstly, based on the analysis of five-stand tandem cold rolling production technology and computer control system composition, earnest analysis the kinds of rolling parameter models in tandem cold rolling process, propose the appropriate parameter models for tandem cold rolling and gives the flow of rolling parameters calculation.Then, analysis the basic theory of genetic algorithm and aiming to the problem of standard genetic algorithm, propose using the adaptive selection, crossover and mutation rate, formed the improved adaptive genetic algorithm. Applies this algorithm in the optimization of rolling schedule, establish the optimized model by using slippage problem which people neglects frequently as object, the simulation results illustrates this algorithm can get better control effect.Finally, considers the complexity of the tandem cold rolling practical production process, a mathematical model of multi-objective optimization is established through the theoretical study of multi-objective optimization. The variables and objective functions for optimization are decided according to actual technology and producing conditions. The optimization model adopts improved adaptive genetic algorithm as the basic optimizing method and converts the multi-objective problem to a single objective problem using the liner weighting aggregation. The proper weights coefficient of multi-objective are fixed through many simulation experiments. Simulation results prove the realization of multi-objective rolling schedule optimization.
