Constructing metal-organic coordination polymers of the highly-ordered structure by multi-dentate ligands and transition metals via coordinative bonds, hydrogen bonds andπ-πinteraction has been the hot research field in coordination chemistry, supra -molecular chemistry and material chemistry. In the past several decades, carboxylate ligands have been widely studied because of their strong coordination ability , the variety of coordination modes and their potential application in the catalysis, gas storage, optics, electricity, and magnetism.In this thesis, five different carboxylic acid ligands,e. g. synthesized carboxylate acid and1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid,were selected, and eighteen new complexes were synthesized successfully under hydrothermal conditions, and characterized EA, IR, and X-ray measure. At the same time, the influence of five ligands on structure and property of the final complexes ware discussed too. The details are as follows:(1)Benzimidazole carboxylic acid with cobalt, copper, obtained by assembling the two complexes [Co(C13H8N3O2)2]·2CH3OH(1), [Cu2(C14H9N2O2)2](2)(2)1, 2 - cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid, phenanthroline and manganese, lead by the two complexes [Mn(phen) (C8H10O4) (H2O)]2·3H2O(3) ,[Pb(phen)(C8H10O4)]·3H2O(4)(3)6-(4, 6-dicarboxylic acid pyridine-2-yl) pyridine-2, 4-dicarboxylic acid (L3) with cobalt, nickel and manganese get three complexes [Co2(H2O)2(C14H6N2O8)(H2O)4]2 (5) ,[Ni2(H2O)2(C14H4N2O8)(H2O)4]·2H2O (6), [Mn2(H2O)3(C14H6N2O8)(H2O)5]2·4H2O(7)(4) 4-(2, 6-formylpyridine -4-yl) pyridine-2, 6-dicarboxylic acid (L4) to get a complex with cobalt {[Co(H2O)6]2·Co6(C14H6N2O8)4 (H2O)4·14H2O} (8)The structure of the eight complex measured by X- ray diffraction. The results indicated that the complex in addition to (2) outside the central atom and ligands are formed six-coordinate octahedral geometry. Complex (3) and (7) has a pseudo-symmetrical structure. In complex (2) crystal, between layers, molecules throughπ-πinteractions between imidazole rings and benzene rings stacked together, and in the same layer, the molecules link through the N1-H1...O1 intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Complex (5), (6) and (7) are connected by hydrogen bonds formed with the chain structure. In addition, complex (5), (6) and (8) analyzed by TGA, the complex (2) and (5) also have fluorescent properties.
