Research On Technology And Equipment Of The Cold Extrusion For Spline

Cold extrusion process is widely used in production of the spline. The denformation mechanism of spline cold extrusion is complexity. So the research of the theory and mechanics analysis on process of spline cold extrusion is few in the world. The existing forming technology and the production often depend on experience. The systemic theory instructing the production is lack.Firstly, the theory and mechanics on process of spline cold extrusion is analyzed. According to assumptions, the cold extrusion slip-line field was established by graphic methods. And gives the unit pressure formula of contact surface of cold extrusion process.Then the main technical parameters of cold extrusion were analyzed. According to constant volume principle,the design formulas of the diameter of product and the geometric parameters of extrusion wheel before external spline gear was established. It also described the effect of main process parameters on the forming process. On this basis, the methods are analyzed and demonstrated, the optimal project is pointed out, and the processing equipment is studied and developed. Then The detection and error of spline in this paper are discussed. Then it is analyzed accurately by effect of variety of tooth surface contact number to Profile error of Spline cold extrusion. Eventually the cause of the error was found.At last, Three-dimensional modeling and finite element analysis of cold extrusion is achieved by Pro/E and ANSYS.The results show that extrusion stress is affording stress of spline tooth reach to plastic yield. Meanwhile, it can play the role of modification of the tooth tip and root. So the carrying capacity and smooth operation was increased, it is better to meet the processing requirement. In this paper, the result of research provides the theory-basis for developing the cold extrusion in spline. It is also significant to develop the equipments of the cold extrusion.
