With the increasing lack of oil resources around the world,the problem of low drilling penetration,high cost and long cycle adversely affect the development of the whole oilfield. The main job of drilling engineer is enhancing drilling penetration,accelerating exploration and development to cut cost of drilling,and achieve the maximum economic benefits. Combining with the development of drilling technique,the drilling penetration is also enhancing constantly.The high dipping area of Lamadian oilfield is located in anticlinal structure of Lama- dian,the angle of bedding is gradually increasing from east to west in the limit of 1~20°,and the faults are developed well,lithological change is huge,and variable thickness bedding is existed,so the drillability of them is different and soft and hard rock change frequently.With analyzing the angle of bedding,bedded formation,formation anisotropy and soft-hard alternate of lithology,the natural deviation law of formation in this area is studied in this paper to provide reliable basis for the next study on the method of enhancing drilling penetration.According to different wells,different methods are used to enhance drilling penetration. Optimizing bottom hole assembly and drilling parameter are used to control deviation and drill quickly in straight well and the method of well location move is used to enhance drilling penetration rate.Using optimizing bottom hole assembly in straight wells that are located in high dripping formation withβ<8°in Lamadian oilfield,the drilling penetration rate enhance 27%,the cycle of well construction reduce 1.04d,comparing with the drilling data of 40 wells which of half are moved location,well location move can reduce 1.41d of drilling cycle,and shorten the soak time of oil layer effectively,so enhance the drilling rate of penetration and wellbole quality.In the drilling process of deviated well,the natural deviation law of formation and optimizing bottom hole assembly is sufficiently used to control well course and drilling time is reduced,drilling rate of penetration is enhanced.Through field test in the high dipping area of Lamadian oilfield,the optimized bottom hole assembly can enhance 8.7% of drilling rate of penetration and reduce 1.33d of well construction time.
