In recent years, organic amine base drilling fluid system has been paid concern in the foreign, got wilder application, and considered one high-performance water-based drilling fluid to replace oil-based drilling fluid because of safety and environment friendly. Its essence is to apply a new Amine shale inhibitor. The amine inhibitors have strong inhibition and anti-balling and film-forming. The key technology of amine base water-based drilling fluids is research& development in efficient amine inhibitors. On the base of amine inhibitors developed, all works have been tightly around fine, intensive, scale and production safety and environmental protection,. With studying of shale inhibition mechanism, strengthen molecular structure design of the new amine inhibitors, considerate specially match and design of functional group. Firstly, carry out lab synthetic test, raw materials in the synthesis of new amine inhibitors labs are mainly ethylene glycol, alkali catalysts, ring ethylene oxide, polyether alcohol, Raney nickel catalyst, ethylene diamine and hydrogen, etc. Analyze new structure of amine inhibitors by ESI-MS and GC / MS, as well as physical and chemical properties of new amine inhibitors and mechanism analysis. Develop successfully organic amine base drilling fluid system. The results of lab experiments show that the organic amine base drilling fluid system has good inhibition, lubrication, a strong anti-temperature, anti-calcium and anti-pollution ability, and is environment friendly water-based drilling fluid system. In 2009, use it in five wells in Shengli Oilfield successfully. The results of field application show that organic amine increased penetration rate, decreased balling and coalescence phenomena. Save significantly drilling and completion time. Improve hole stability, solve poor reheology during drilling across shale formation. Meet requirements of environment and formation protection. Have broad prospects of application.
