The workover rig, an important equipment of repairing well and exploiting oil, plays a vital role in keeping the petroleum industries running steadily and efficiently. With the improvement of oil industries, it needs the workover rigs to be more efficient and economical. The workover rig studied in this paper that can operate with both coiled and conventional sucker rod is of great engineering value.Though analyzing conventional and coiled rod workover rig and discussing their differences and similarities, the plan of Two-Use Workover Rig is come up with. According to the theories of theoretical and materials mechanics, some particular parts and the stability of the whole system is studied, and the plan is proved to be practical.What's more, the 3-D model of this plan is made with SolidWorks. Then with the help of this software, the characteristic of the mass distribution is calculated and bettered to math the transporting and traffic standard and the stability under working state.
