With the sustaining development of the oilfield, the whole water cut has beencontinuously increased for many years, the development value of tne initial beneficial regionsis gradually decreasing, and the development degree of difficulty is increasing. At the sametime, the changes of hydrodynamic force and physical property of fluid body have a majoreffection on the distribution of the primary water to oil area. It is necessory to re-understandthe distribution pattern and development value of oil/water transition zone. Be aimed at theformation mechanics of the oil/water transition zone, this paper has discussed on the factorsthat influence on the distribution of remaining oil in the oil/water transition zone, such as fluidproperty, reservoir heterogeneity, subsurface picture, development condition and so on. Thispaper has also selected the major factors; researched on the relationship between fluidproperty of transition zone and lithologic character, electric property; re-established thecriterion of oil layer,and fabricated the oil/water chart. This paper has analyzed thedevelopment particularity, evaluated the water drive effection, predicted the water driverecovery ratio, and dealt with the injection-production connection relationship. It accuratelyrepresented the alternation rule and character of the oil/water transition zone. Drawing supportfrom the method of numerical reservoir simulation, it has matched the waterflooding history,and studied the waterflooding extraction state, the flooding extent. As a result, the distributionpattern of waterflooding remaining oil has been figured out. comprehensive considered thesuitability of technic and economy, the beneficial area has been selected.,and re-recognizedthe remaining oil by the method of numerical reservoir simulation. It has optimized the designof development plan, and finally acquire the preferable development effect. It can offer thereliable reference to estimate the oil reservoir and draw up the development plan for Shengtuooilfield.
