Oil-water transition zone mainly refers to the construction site near the low-water boundary zone or zones between injection wells and oil wells without border control.In the area,oil-water distribution is really complexed,the reserves abundance is lower and reserves are more difficult to been extracted.Thus,it is necessary to carry out theoretical research on oil & water distribution and seepage law,so as to get a good understand of water flooding law and the conditions of effective drive.The thesis is specified in the following aspects of oil-water transition zone,these are oil & water seepage law,exploitation & development potential and effective use of the potential.By analyzing the quantitative method for characterizing the capillary pressure curve and relative permeability curves,based on the study of these curves under different conditions,obtained the characteristic of oil & water distribution,movement and development.Based on the actual oil & water distribution and development status of W2 fault block oil reservoir transitional zone,the existence of remaining oil in transitional belt under different conditions has been demonstrated by numerical simulation.Taking economic factors into account,put forward method to determine the economic and technological boundaries oil well and to evaluate the development potential of this zone.According to the potential analysis,reasonable development adjustment policies of different regions have been proposed.Through these research,we get the following results:(1)A method to describe the oil & water distribution,movement and development characteristics quantitatively has been established.(2)Calculation of oil well economic and technological boundaries,the potential evaluation method of different regions and the corresponding development strategies have been carried out.Results of this paper can be widely used in the research of rational development strategy in transitional belt of fault block reservoir,thus,it can build up a good basis for the remaining oil description and oil recovery enhancement.
