As the pipeline and configurable parts of the transportation of gas and liquid,the elbow has been widely used in the aviation, spaceflight, automobile, petroleum and chemical industry. When the pipe is bended freely, the carrying capacity of the inner and outer is different. Heat pushing elbow is the main connective part. The research and development of high efficiency and quality elbow forming process has already become the hotspot in corporations in the past few years.The process of the heat pushing is simulated by the finite element software called Deform. This paper analyzed on the effect of the elbow's forming quality under different technological parameters including pushing velocity, friction coefficient, friction style and temperature.This paper established the method of heat pushing elbow numerical simulation using temperature differential model, which could obtain higher precision with regard to the approximate simulation of temperature field. Thickness out of tolerance is in reasonable range, so it can be used for analyzing and simulating heat pushing elbows.It won the regular patterns of the shape dimension to the elbow's forming quality through controlling the Ox horn mandrel's sections. According to the design ideas of the way of sections, this paper put forward the parameterized design criteria, and gives the specific design steps. The results demonstrate that the elbow can obtain better thickness through the Ox horn mandrel, the thickness reduction ratio is less than 10%, and which has reached to the indicators of the criterion of the tube in thickness uniformity. Relative to the design idea of just depending on experience is concerned, this method has a certain reliability, which will provide theoretical basis for the further research on this technology.
