As the core component in injection and production operation, injection-production string suffers the combine action of various loads, such as internal pressure, external pressure, axial force, equivalent stresses, etc. These loads will result in the changes of the stress of injection-production string and axial deforms, as well as the forces on packer. Therefore the performance of packer will be affected or destroyed. So it is very important to make a mechanical study of the injection-production string, know the situation of the stress of injection-production string and axial deforms well. These will ensure that the string works safely and efficiently and prolong its working life. This paper introduces the current status of stings, packers and injection-production process both at home and abroad. We also improve the subsurface tools to meet the demand of oil field production. The main tasks are listed below:(1) Make analysis of the current status of string mechanics and work out the research programme through the study of relevant research achievements and technical information both at home and abroad.(2) Find out the structure of the string and assorted tools, analysis the process flow of this technique.(3) Research the factors that influence the mechanical behavior of the string, establish the modal in combination with different loads.(4) Work out the simplified computational formula for calculating the different loads and effect of the tubing string, as well as the axial deforms under different working conditions, with the help of the comprehensive mechanical modal of the injection and production string system. (5) Design the packer in the injection and production string system, and focus on checking calculation on rubber barrel, slips and tube in the center of track.(6) Make analysis of the loads and deforms to the whole injection and production string system under two different processes using finite element analysis software ANSYS.The study in this paper provides basis for the security of the string strength and the rational option for construction parameters. It will be good for improving the success rate of injection and production.
