Streamline method has attained widely application because of its fast calculation speed and high precision. Compared with conventional finite difference method, the advantage of streamline method is converting the three-dimensional solution of the reservoir to the one-dimensional solution along streamlines through propagation time. So the calculation speed will be greatly improved. After several years of development, streamline method has made great development in all aspects. Streamline tracking and solution have becoming more and more matured. However, streamline method at present has some defects, such as ignoring the effect of the capillary force and compressibility. When solving reservoir models with these parameters'effect being great, the results may not be accurate. The article mainly studies streamline models considering capillary force and compressibility. Firstly, the article deduces and solves the streamline equation considering these parameters, analyses the stability of the solution and studies factors influencing the speed and precision of the streamline method. Secondly, the article solves the mathematical model using streamline programme including all kinds of factors, such as capillary force and compressibility, compares with the calculation results of the ECLIPSE software to verify the accuracy of the streamline programme and analyse the difference between streamline method and ECLIPSE. Thirdly, the paper solves the polymer model using streamline method considering all kinds of physical and chemical phenomena and parameters and compares with the calculation results of ECLIPSE in order to verify the accuracy of the streamline method. Then the calculation results of the streamline model whether considering capillary force and compressibility are compared. Then, using the same method, this paper solves the polymer-surfactant model. Then compare and analyse the calculation results of the streamline model whether considering capillary force and compressibility or not. Finally, apply the streamline method to actual model to check its effect in the actual application.
