High pour point oil reservoirs are widely distributed in the world. With the problems such as remaining oil reducing, oil production declining quickly, water content ratio rising fast continue to occur, some complex, special reservoir causing growing attention. The particularity of high pour-point oil caused great difficulties to develop. With conventional water injection method, the effect of development is very poor. Now hot water injection or electrical heating mode often be used, but the cost is higher. According to the shear dilution of the high pour point oil, in the basis of the experimental results of the chemical composition and rheological characteristics of the high pour-point oil, this paper puts forward the idea of well bore shear action developing the high pour-point oil. The experiment studied on the shear effect on the high pour-point oil viscosity and solidifying point, designed shear manometers suitable for screw pump and reciprocating pump, established the viscosity calculation model and calculation method of high pour point oil in well bore after shear action, and calculated the viscosity of high pour-point oil in well bore after shear action.Research shows that, the carbon numbers of high pour-point oil from four high pour-point oil field distribute uneven, wax content is high, gelatin and bituminous content is low. High pour-point oil is very sensitive to temperature, when temperature is higher than wax appearance temperature, it is Newton fluid; when temperature is between wax appearance temperature and abnormal temperature, it can approximate as Newton fluid; when temperature is below abnormal temperature, it is Non-Newton fluid. By shearing action near solidifying point, the solidifying point of the high pour-point oil samples reduce 5-6℃, the coagulation time extend 8-17min. After rotating shear action, the viscosity of high pour-point oil mainly in 2-40 mPa ? s below abnormal temperature. After orifice plate shear action, the viscosity of high pour-point oil mainly in 7-50mPa ? s below abnormal temperature. After shearing, the viscosity of high pour-point oil sharply reduce to flow range, shearing in well bore to develop high pour-point oil is feasible. The result of the study is important to exploring new method of high pour-point oil production.
